To this end, every commission begins with a personal consultation with JuliAnne at her studio. She believes that this time is essential in creating a portrait which is a true art piece and not simply a record of what the person or people looked like at that time. The goals of the consultation are to create a connection between the artist and subject, and then to have a collaboration of vision and planning.

Jonker Portrait Gallery

JuliAnne Jonker is the artist and photographer in residence at Jonker Portrait Gallery. She lives there with her husband, Kurtis, and their 4 children.

JuliAnne has extensive training in both Photography and Fine Art. She has attended various schools and workshops across the country and in Europe, studying with some of the world's finest artists. She continues to study both fields, and she teaches workshops in her own studio and at national conventions.

Her love for people of all types and ages has driven JuliAnne to create intimate portraits since she was a young girl. She uses and combines oil paints, pastels, watercolor, charcoal, sculpture, and photography to create timeless works of art for her clients.
